Dr. Anwar Mumtaz received his M.D in 1975 from King Edward Medical University and completed his training in Otalorangoly at GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER AND WASHINGTON HOSPITAL CENTER in WASHINGTON, DC. He has been in practice for Ear, Nose, Throat and Head and Neck surgery for the last 36 years.

Since 1982, Dr. Anwar Mumtaz has served Baltimore, Maryland and surrounding areas of Halethorp, Catonsville, Arbutus, Brooklyn, Pasadena and Glen Burnie. He is also involved with Maryland Medical Society activities and has been its Delegate and Alternate Delegate for the last 20 years. He has also been involved in volunteer work and has been to Haiti and Albania on medical missions to provide pro bono medical care.

​Dr. Anwar Mumtaz currently runs his own private practice and is affiliated with MedStar Harbor Hospital Center, the University of Maryland Baltimore/Washington Medical Center, Mercy Medical Center, Saint Agnes Medical Center and Northwest Hospital and Sinai Hospital. He has been chief of  ENT Head and Neck services at MedStar Harbor Hospital for the last many years. He has received many awards and been one of the top doctors in the country.

His professional interests include Balloon Sinuplasty for chronic and recurring sinusitis in office, major head and neck cancer surgery, thyroid surgery and endoscopic sinus surgery, as well as general ear, nose and throat services.
